A Quick Mac Uninstall Guide

As you may see from our short funny video reminder, uninstalling applications and programs from Mac is a lot more easier task than performing it on Windows PCs with its registries and built-in uninstallers. Also Mac software usually has no such uninstallers and other files you won’t rid of even when you delete the program. It means that in most cases simple “drag-and-move-to-Trashbin” action is enough to uninstall from Mac the unwanted application, but “in most cases” doesn’t mean “in all”, does it? (more…)

What is iTunes?

Everybody who has a Mac has some sort of media player pre-installed on their computer, but even so, many decide to install Apple iTunes.  Apple iTunes allows users to not only listen to music on their computers but also allows them to transfer music and video contact to their mobile devices as well, such as the i-Pod, the i-Phone, and the i-Pad.  Although the program that became i-Tunes was created in 1999, it did not actually become i-Tunes until 2000 when the software was bought by Apple.  Since then i-Tunes has continued to improve over the years in the services and features that it offers.  But while i-Tunes is a popular media program and offers great features, such as library sharing, multiple library viewing modes, and an App organizer, some claim it has shortcomings as well.  There have been a number of Mac users who have experienced issues that have led them to want to uninstall i-Tunes Mac.  And since there is no removal option directly within the i-Tunes software, many of those individuals seek outside answers to the question as to how to uninstall i-Tunes Mac software.  Fortunately there is more than one option to uninstall i-Tunes, one much simpler than the other. A Little Bit About Mackeeper

Even though Mac users are much less likely to have to deal with issues stemming from online activity, such as viruses, trojans, and other malicious software attacks, there are still plenty of software companies out there that are developing software designed to protect Macs from these types of threats.  These programs protect from different types of malicious software, just as the anti-virus programs for PCs protect them from such software.  The difference is, Macs are not at nearly as high of a risk as PCs when it comes to becoming infected with the various forms of malicious software that are spread through the internet.  But the presence of software such as Mackeeper will have you rethinking your decision not to install protection software.   To be sure, with Mackeeper, malware distributors will have a hard time infecting your computer, but those developers already find it difficult to infect Macs.  Of course it never hurts to play it safe and have extra protection, which is what Mackeeper virus protection software definitely offers. What is Macfuse?

There are many different software programs available that allow users to expand the capabilities of their computers and Macfuse is one such program that is specifically designed for Macintosh computers.  How essential this particular program is completely depends on the specific Mac user and the activities that they use their Mac for.  The purpose of the software, specifically, is to extend the capacity for file handling, a feature that not every Mac user necessarily needs.  Those that do need such a program are those that store an excessive amount of information on their computers due to activities such as gaming or those related to a highly technical job.  Unfortunately, some Mac users have downloaded Macfuse and then realized that they did not need it, so they end up looking for a good way to remove Macfuse completely.  And the problem with this is that there is no easy to find way to uninstall Macfuse within the software itself, and there is very little information out there in regards to how to remove Macfuse.  To be sure, though, there is a way to uninstall Macfuse.
